Adopt an Attitude of Gratitude to Attract REAL Love
by admin ~ November 19th, 2009. Filed under: Miscellaneous.Gratitude, Joy, Love and Abundance all carry the same vibration energetically. The more we can tap into gratitude, the more we are training our body, mind and spirit to be in resonance with that vibration. The Law of Attraction is very clear on this point: we always attract into our lives those things with which we are a vibrational match. It is impossible to attract joy, love or abundance if you are begrudging other people their experience of those things. Practicing gratitude takes us outside of ourselves; it reminds us to focus on what others are doing, the good they are doing in the world, so we can honor and acknowledge that good. Gratitude feels good, which raises our vibration again.
Of these four matching vibrations, gratitude is the one that is the easiest to call upon at any time. Most if not all of us have had times in our lives that weren’t joyful, where we felt no love, where our experience was one of scarcity. But even during those times, we have the ability to tap into the tremendous power of gratitude. Even when we are grateful for something small or mundane, when we access the energy of gratitude we are plugging into the most powerful force in the universe.
Even when bad things happen, and they will, we can still find gratitude for what is. We can hear the birds sing, or see the sun shine, we can smell a beautiful flower, we may have a roof over our head or food to eat; any one of these is something on which we can focus our gratitude. We are not accustomed to expressing gratitude for the simple or small things in life, but if we can train ourselves to notice and be grateful for every good thing, we begin to attract more of those things.
In cultivating an attitude of gratitude, we say “YES” to the Universe whenever it sends us something we appreciate. In my experience, that has led to me receiving an abundance of good things in all shapes and forms.
EXERCISE: Gratitude Journal
Dedicate a small journal or notebook to be your Gratitude Journal over the next 30 days. Each night before you go to bed, spend at least five minutes reviewing your day and the people in your life. Write down all the things and people for which you are grateful and why. It is important to do this at night because your subconscious mind will spend the next eight hours processing everything that happened that day, so you want to set a framework around which it can process at the highest vibrational level possible. Each night your subconscious mind makes sense of all the things that happen during the day, whether or not your conscious mind was aware of these things. By journaling on gratitude each night, you are training your subconscious mind to notice gratitude, to act from gratitude, and to use gratitude as a framework from which it will view the world. For most of us, this is radically different from how our subconscious mind currently views the world. For most of us, our subconscious views the world as a scary, dangerous and confusing place. Helping your subconscious feel safe will take you far in learning to attract real love.
